A meta-analysis of national and international research and models of service provision was used to inform the development of Schools Plus.
Much of the conceptual work behind Schools Plus was developed as part of the Review of Educational Services for Students with Disabilities in Government Schools. The Schools Plus Profile was developed as part of extensive consultation.
Developing a simple way to represent the educational needs of students to inform and support educational planning, assessment and resource provision is challenging. Feedback will be sought from users of the Schools Plus Profile. A continuous improvement model will be adopted to support further developments.
