Schools Plus Criteria

Whether or not a school is eligible for Schools Plus resources, a critical aspect of planning for students with diverse learning need includes a detailed assessment of the student’s educational need and the development of appropriate educational planning.

Schools are eligible to receive support from Schools Plus when:

• The student meets the eligibility requirements for one or more of the indicated groups and significant levels of adjustments are identified; AND
• A school decision making team considers the nature, extent and range of planned adjustments for a student are ongoing and beyond the schools current level of capacity sufficient to require additional external funding.

The Schools Plus Coordination Group will however determine eligibility on a case by case basis and direct schools to support students through complementary support programs if more appropriate.

Documentation must be held in the school indicating the student meets the criteria for one or more of the indicated groups below:
