Student census process and support

Student census date

  • Friday, 6 August 2021 (unique login code emailed to schools on 19 July 2021)

Instructions, forms and user guides

Import a CSV enrolment file or manual data entry

  • use links above to access required information to complete the student census for your school
  • import or manually enter enrolment data
  • when data are accurate, to finalise, select Census Acceptance on the left menu
  • select and print a Per Capita Funding Application available on the left menu

  • to complete, check students outlined in the Guidelines for Non-Government School Funding 2021 have been claimed correctly and that full fee paying overseas students are excluded

Kindergarten Provision Survey (MANDATORY for schools that offer Kindergarten programs)

COMPLETE this survey if your school is able to offer a Kindergarten program in 2021 (regardless of whether your school has any Kindergarten students this year)

    • for any interpretation of the Guidelines for Non-Government School Funding 2021, the Explanatory Notes for Per Capita Funding Application or Residency Status Guidance
    • advice when completing the overseas full fee paying, dependents of full fee paying overseas Commonwealth Scholarship Holder or other temporary residents not on International Secondary Exchange columns in the Student Census system
  • raise a request for the student census support team via the Department's ICT Customer Service Centre (CSC).  Advise the customer service representative your name, phone number and email address along with your school's name and suburb.  Telehone 9264 5555 for metro callers, 1800 012 828 for regional callers or e-mail
