The Leader in You

About the program

The Leader in You focuses on developing and understanding human nature within working relationships that will enable you to build relational trust and solve complex problems. In terms of the leadership pathway, it is at this stage, as individuals move from managing self to managing others, that leadership mindsets are established.  This will determine leadership behaviours throughout your career.

Learning intention

By the end of this two-day program, it is intended that you will:

  • understand that workplace trust is foundational to all relationships
  • articulate various leadership styles and identify when they may be required
  • recognise the importance of managing people differently based on personality styles to get the best from them
  • have a tool for understanding human nature and using this in the workplace
  • be able to describe the thinking required to transition from managing self to manage others.

Target audience

School ministerial staff and public servants, Levels 4-6, in central and regional offices.
