School Corporate Services Staff - Using Your Competency Framework


About the program

The workshop supports corporate services staff and school leaders to use the Competency Framework for School Corporate Services Staff across a range of human resource management activities.

 

Learning intention    

By the end of this workshop participants will have an understanding of how to use the Competency Framework for School Corporate Services Staff (the Framework) and will have an understanding of the:

  • purpose and benefits of the Framework in the strategic directions of the Department of Education
  • structure and elements of the Framework
  • practical applications of the Framework in key human resource management activities.


Success criteria 

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to use the Framework across a range of relevant human resource management activities specific to their needs, including:

  • career planning
  • performance management
  • identifying professional learning needs
  • workforce planning
  • restructuring and job design.


Who will benefit?

The workshop is aimed at school corporate services staff, managers corporate services and school leaders.

 

About the facilitator

This workshop is presented by human resource consultants from Workforce Policy & Coordination.

On the day

  • Programs start at 12.30pm. (Afternoon tea is provided.)
  • Tea and coffee are available.
  • Business dress is required.
  • Wifi connection is available.


Location

The Institute for Professional Learning is located in Building B at 164-194 Oxford Street, Leederville WA. We co-locate with the Schools of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE).

 

Parking

Please note the Institute does not have on-site parking available:

  • The City of Vincent has a number of car parks throughout Leederville.
  • The closest long term paid parking is available on the south side of The Avenue Car Park on Leederville Parade.
  • Short term paid parking (two hour) is available in adjacent streets.
  • The City of Vincent offers a 'pay by phone' parking service.
  • The Institute is a two minute walk from Leederville train station.
  • Taxis service the site promptly.
  • Cycle racks are located outside Building F at the Institute.
