Cyberbullying Webinarcyberbullying webinar

In February 2013 the Institute for Professional Learning hosted a webinar on the topic - Cyberbullying: Legal and research issues.

The webinar consisted of two parts:

  • Part one is a collection of video clips of current legal and research information on Cyberbullying presented by Robert Castiglione, Department of Education Lawyer and Kate Hadwen, Edith Cowan University Researcher. These clips are available for your viewing on YouTube

    Examples of topics:
    • strategies to respond to cyberbullying
    • exposure to social media
  • Part two of the webinar involved the use of the the Department of Education's web conferencing tool - Centra. Key presenters Robert Castiglione, and Professor Donna Cross from Edith Cowan University answered questions raised by participants after viewing the part one clips. You have the opportunity to view the complete recording or view individual questions and answers on YouTube.

    Examples of questions addressed:
    • What can schools do to address cyberbullying?
    • What are the legal perspectives if a teacher is being cyberbullied or becomes aware of a student being cyberbullied?
