Disclaimer: The Outdoor Education and Recreation Activities policy has been replaced by the Duty of Care for Public School Students Policy and Outdoor Education Activities for Public Schools Procedures (effective 1 January 2019). The mandates under the Outdoor Education Activities for Public Schools Procedures have a transition period for implementation by 31 December 2019.

During this transition period, where schools have not implemented or are in the process of implementing the Outdoor Education Activities for Public School Procedures in the Duty of Care for Public School Students Policy, they must follow the requirements of the Outdoor Education and Recreation Activities for Public Schools policy (effective 10 March 2008), a copy can be requested from Policy and Program Governance via PolicyEnquiry@education.wa.edu.au. For any content enquiries relating to outdoor education activities, please contact Curriculum Support on 6206 2010.
