Vicarious Liability

Employer is vicariously liable (legally responsible) under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 for acts of discrimination and harassment committed by employees in connection with their employment. This does not apply if the employer took all reasonable steps to prevent that unlawful act from taking place.
