For young people entering Years 11 and 12 there are a range of approved options to meet the School Education Act (1999) participation
requirement.
There are lots of options available - but you need to remember that whatever option or combination of options you choose
must add up to full-time.
If you have decided to stay in school full-time (either public or private) there are no forms for you to complete.
If you are full-time home schooled, your parents/carer need to contact your regional education
office (formerly district education office) because you must be registered for this.
If you leave school and go to a state training provider (formerly known as a TAFE college), get an apprenticeship or traineeship then you simply need to complete all of the enrolment requirements which includes a signed parent consent form for the state training provider and parental signature on the apprenticeship / traineeship paperwork through the Apprenticentre.
If you leave school and go to a course provided by a private registered training organisation (RTO), community organisation, want to take up full-time employment or do a combination of school, training and/or employment then you need to submit a Notice of Arrangements (Form).
No form is required if you are full-time at school and have a part-time/casual job out of school hours.
If you need any help with any of this please talk to your school or a Participation Coordinator at your regional education office.
