WA Classical Guitar Ensemble Festival

25 August 2018
WA Classical Guitar Ensemble Festival

This event is run in partnership with the WA Classical Guitar Society. The 30th WA Classical Guitar Ensemble Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday 25-26 August 2018.

Applications

Applications will be available online by Friday 23 February 2018. For all dates, see the Events Calendar for 2018. Application forms will not be posted to schools. Any enquiries relating to the festival should be directed to Tanya Chapman or Robbie-Ann Rossi at Instrumental Music School Services.

The WA Classical Guitar Society was founded in 1960 to provide a vehicle for professional development, forums and master classes, a platform for performances of local, interstate and overseas artists, and the general promotion of the classical guitar throughout Western Australia.

The aims of the Classical Guitar Festival are:

  1. To provide a performance opportunity for students (especially young students).
  2. To give ensembles an opportunity to hear others perform.
  3. To provide each ensemble with constructive comments from an informed adjudicator.
  4. To present each ensemble with a certificate which recognises its participation.
