PIMS Music Ensemble Performance

This is a program of instrumental and ensemble music delivered by staff from the Instrumental Music School Services for students in public schools. It is a program of instrumental lessons and ensemble rehearsals leading towards ensemble performances. A certificate is awarded at the conclusion of the program to students who have satisfactorily completed the requirements of the program.

PIMS has been designed for students who are not enrolled in the music course units developed by the Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority, but have instrumental experience and skills that can be positively applied in a school based ensemble during Years 11 and 12. Typical ensembles are concert band, orchestra, guitar ensemble, choir, chamber group or jazz ensemble.

The program has been accredited for 2015-2019.
