Round 26 is replacing Round 19 notebooks shipped in Semester 1 2009.
The Enrolment period is 30th January to 24th February 2012.Dell and Apple notebooks are offered at the following contribution rates:
- $14.60 per fortnight for the Dell PC notebook *rate may be subject to change
- $16.50 per fortnight for the Apple notebook *rate may be subject to change
(check here for any updates or notices)
This rollout has now closed. A very small number of "emergency stock" Dell units remain available. Priority for these goes firstly to Round 19 participants who accidentally missed the offer, and secondly to eligible staff who can collect the units from Central Office (or arrange to have them couriered to their school at their own expense). Delivery is expected during May, application is via the usual form.
If you prefer to opt for an Apple unit and missed the replacement offer, you may still submit an application form marked "for waiting list". If any units become available due to unexpected retirements etc we will redirect them to wait-listed applicants in order of receipt of applications.
Delivery for Dell and Apple Round 26 units is still expected for May as at 13 April 2012.
It is responsibility to keep a current backup of your data at all times. Faults may result in reimaging of your machine and all data would be lost. The help desk and NB4T teams do NOT have the staff or facilities to recover data.

The terms conditions and specifications:
NOTES - important, please read!
1) Specification - Please read the specification document carefully and contact the NFT Program admin section on 08 9264 5636 if you require any further advice. When the offer closes, applicants will be deemed to have been fully informed on these issues and applications will be considered binding.
2) Collection Dates - the vendors will fax final advice for collection of old machines to principals a week or two before the collections start. You MUST stay in touch with your principal to receive this information, we do not write to you again about this until/unless the collection is classified as a failure. Under your contract you are considered responsible for appropriate return of your notebook. If in any doubt, please contact the NFT Program administration section on 08 9264 5636.
3) Binding Contract - completing and returning the NFT registration form constitutes a contract under common-law 'offer and acceptance' rules. There is no 'cooling-off period' and applicants must accept notebooks on delivery (unless no longer employed in an eligible position).
4) Incomplete or unsigned forms cannot be accepted.
5) Central support is not provided for connection of Apple notebooks to school networks, also, some Departmental applications such as SIS are not available for the Apple platform at present. Hardware specifications and required contribution rates differ between PC and Apple products.
6) Checking receipt of your form - a confirmation list will be emailed to school NFT contact persons around a week following the close of the offer. Neither fax nor postal services are 100% reliable. If your application form is not received and processed, and you fail to check the confirmation list, then you will miss out on a replacement notebook. You will still have to return your existing notebook.
The Department will not break or vary a contract where a teacher later reconsiders their decision, purchases a private notebook, finds that the specification or cost of the requested notebook does not meet their needs, or any similar case.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In 2012 there will be two rollouts and the tentative timetable for them is:
If you cannot wait for a Round 26 or 27 notebook you can still get a pre-lease notebook. Click here to look at the pre-lease program. Remember, if you do not apply for a replacement notebook you are still required to return your Round 19 notebook, on the scheduled return date. There is only one free pickup per person per school; if the collection service is missed then a participant must arrange their own return via courier or may return the notebook to Central Office during business hours. Remember that any delay in returning your old notebook can result in lease extension costs being incurred by you. What happens Next?Participants in Round 19 can expect the following contacts: 1. A letter to their latest home address recorded in HRMIS notifying them of the application and rollout schedule for their round. 2. An email to their DET email address with updates and the contents of the letter in step 1. 3. All schools involved will also be contacted, via either the designated NFT person, Deputy Principal or Principal. Having said this please note that each round has approx. 2,500 participants, people often change address and schools and you may not get any of the above communications. If you think your notebook round is up for renewal and you have not had any of these contacts during the month before your round is due please contact the Notebooks team: Phone 9264 5636 email notebook@det.wa.edu.au Contact Us Please contact the Notebooks for Teachers administration section by email or on 08 9264 5636 if you would like any further information on the program.
