Evaluation and Accountability

Directorate

The Evaluation and Accountability Directorate is a component of the Policy, Planning and Accountability Division. The Directorate has three branches; Evaluation, System Performance and School Performance.

Areas of responsibility include: managing and undertaking evaluations endorsed by Corporate Executive; producing the Department’s Annual Report and Key Performance Indicators; the collection and reporting of corporate information, including the provision of data and information request services; and the provision of a policy framework, appropriate tools, research and advice in support of a comprehensive quality assurance program for government schools.

Directorate personnel also consult with State, Commonwealth and national agencies and participate in national and State forums on performance monitoring and reporting issues in both the schools and vocational education and training sectors.
