Bunbury Cathedral Grammar

Philosophy and Ethos

BCGS’s relationship with the natural environment has a long history. School’s activities, which can now be linked to sustainability, are being retraced so that past successes can lay the foundation for future plans.

This intricate mosaic by a former student features elements of local bushland to illustrate the special relationship that the School has with the environment.

Sustainability is incorporated into the School’s overall vision, as submitted to the Staff Executive and Board of Governors.

The Reggio Emilia approach and the Round Square philosophy are both embraced by BCGS to enhance student learning.

BCGS is proud of its Christian ethos and its strong focus on pastoral care. Family, the environment, community service, and respect for social and cultural diversity are all nurtured through a variety of activities at the School.
