Teaching and learning

In conjunction with the installation of the new alternative energy systems, students in all Year levels at the School will partake in curriculum-based activities to learn about the impact of non-renewable energy consumption on the environment.

Students will also be able to observe and interact with the new systems and collect data as they measure the reduction in energy consumption. These activities will feature strongly in the Science and Society and Environment learning areas.

Curriculum Links: Values 5. Environmental responsibility (5.2 – Conservation of the environment; 5.3 – Sustainable development);

Secondary school students benefit socially and academically from the vertical age structure (mixed Year-level) Home Group sessions which they attend every day, where the same teacher supports them throughout their secondary schooling.
