Sacred Heart Catholic Primary

Teaching and Learning

In order to create an awareness of the need to reduce the amount of plastic bottles used, the whole school participated in activities run from the Waste Wise 3R’s Recycling Van, which visited over a period of 3 days.

Classes, according to their own specific programs, explored the importance of drinking water for a healthy body. Students and their teachers also discussed the purpose of the drink bottles so that they could make the most of the initiative.

In addition to the ‘Water Bottle’ initiative, other school projects and activities that contribute to the wellbeing of the students at Sacred Heart include the school’s relaxing Sensory Garden and a Walk Safely to School Day.
