Coogee Primary

Teaching and Learning

All Education for Sustainability (EfS) activities at Coogee Primary are designed to be locally relevant, successful and fun. To support the many hands-on projects, the school has purchased 14 sets of environmental education materials for their classes, so that concurrent activities can be run throughout the school.

Extension courses on environmental investigations are being developed for interested students and gifted and talented student groups.

Coogee Primary is a major contributor to a one-day course on enterprise education, run by the District Education Office.

The school also contributed to a CD of ‘Case Studies in Sustainability’ (developed by Murdoch University in conjunction with Rio Tinto and the State Government) and leads the way in promoting professional development for teachers in the Fremantle District.
