Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS)

SCIS is a national retrieval and cataloguing service for Australian and New Zealand schools. The SCIS service is owned by the nation's education authorities. All WA public schools have a centrally funded licence to SCIS to enable access to catalogue records.

SCIS Authority Files

SCIS Authority Files improve search and discovery in the library catalogue.  Authority Files link terms between records, to display the 'See' and 'See also' references.

The files are available from https://www.scisdata.com/

Professional Learning

SCIS also conduct a range of Professional Learning Webinars to support best use of the full range of SCIS services.

SCIS Data

The SCIS database has over 1.5 million high-quality, consistent catalogue records.  SCIS Data is in MARC format, and is quick and simple to use in any library management system.

Help and information about all aspects of cataloguing resources is available from the SCIS website.

SCIS provides the following arrangements for cataloguing physical resources
