Teachers Can Code professional learning program

20 July 2018
This Department of Education initiative supports teaching and learning of the Western Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies.

The program develops teachers’ capacity to integrate Digital Technologies, including coding, into teaching and learning programs and is a partnership between the Department and the University of Sydney.

During 2018 and 2019, the Australian Computing Academy team is training 110 lead teachers to deliver 16 Teachers Can Code professional learning modules.  Lead teachers will support other teachers to build their knowledge and expertise enabling quality implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies, including coding.

The modules will be advertised through Connect Communities. Schools can contact the lead teachers or their principal directly to request support. Alternatively, schools and networks may request support from a DigiTech School by completing the TDS Request for Support Form, located on the TDS webpage.
