Cats

General guidance

When cats visit classrooms, it is inappropriate to subject them to any procedures other than observation, discussion of their behaviour and limited, well-supervised handling.

In general, cats are not considered suitable animals for housing at a school or college. If they are to be housed, they must be microchipped, have collars with tags, be kept inside at night and be desexed, vaccinated and checked regularly by a veterinarian.
